The Navigation Filter Best Practices, Chapter 9 recommends implementation of three types of data editing:
- 'Accept', where the measurement is processed according to the normal autonomous editing criteria (elevation, sigma, etc...)
- 'Inhibit', where the measurement is forcibly rejected regardless of quality or autonomous edit flags,
- 'Force', where the measurement is forcibly accepted regardless of quality or autonomous edit flags
GMAT currently implements 'Accept' and 'Inhibit' capabilities, but does not have a 'Force' accept option. This could be added by a simple modification of the current AcceptFilter, by implementing an additional field along these lines:
AcceptFilter.ForceAcceptance = True
Any other criteria also specified on the AcceptFilter would be considered in determining which measurements constitute the ForceAccept set.
